DALLAS HTML DAY WRITE-OFF

Three weight classes. One ring: a blank <body>. Pick your class, write your best page, and throw it in the ring.

HEAVYWEIGHT

Iron-man rules. No online reference, no AI assistance of any kind. Just you, your memory, and a blank page.

  • No documentation, MDN, Stack Overflow, etc.
  • No AI tools, chat or autocomplete
  • Whatever you know off the top of your head
See Heavyweight entries → Submit a Heavyweight Entry

LIGHTWEIGHT

Reference is fair game. Look things up, read docs, ask an AI to explain a concept. Just don't let it write blocks of code for you.

  • Docs & online references allowed
  • AI chat for explanations/advice is fine
  • No AI-generated code blocks pasted in
See Lightweight entries → Submit a Lightweight Entry

FEATHERWEIGHT

No holds barred. Any tool, any reference, any AI. Code generators, copilots, whatever gets you to a great page. Show us what's possible.

  • Anything goes
  • AI-generated code welcome
  • Judged on the result, not the method
See Featherweight entries → Submit a Featherweight Entry

How submitting works

  1. Pick your weight class above and hit Submit. It opens a pre-addressed email draft to Corey.
  2. Attach your entry (a single .html file, or a .zip if you've got extra assets).
  3. Send it. Corey won't steal your work. It just gets hosted for display here on the Entries pages.
